Picture is of Fred Cross and below it is a picture of his cabin in "Crossville." Fred moved into the Keystone area to mine in 1877. His life journey began in New York and he ended life in the Keystone area in 1910 nearly flat broke. Not everyone who worked in the mining boom of the Black Hills walked away a rich man.
