BFTP: Brasil 2006 Part I

Twelve years ago Vicki and I returned to Altamira with a small team to work on a building started our first trip.

A camp has people, people need places to go to the bathroom, the bathroom needs a septic system. These guys did unbelievable work getting a 15'x15'x15' hole dug and the lining started. When you are located just a few degrees from the equator it's hot in June.

One of the main gate posts, most of the work was done with manpower. The post weighed in around 900 pounds so this wasn't a simple project.

Meat choices hang in the windows. This is not where we bought our meat. Not sure our sensitive American stomachs could have eaten this.

The project. Hope these posts from a warm climate make your winter a bit cozier.
